The Superocean Heritage II takes its cues from a 1957 dive watch and somehow manages to look thoroughly modern doing it. The 42mm stainless steel case sits on a matching steel bracelet, with a black ceramic bezel that keeps its finish long after aluminum would have given up. The black dial is clean and straightforward, with broad markers that do their job without fuss. Inside is the B20, Breitling's COSC-certified automatic with a 70-hour reserve, sealed behind sapphire crystal and rated to 20 ATM. Among Breitling watches, this is the quietly capable one.
